Castle Events was created to cultivate imagination, creativity, historical appreciation, and community through immersive outdoor experiences inspired by artistry, storytelling, education, and wonder. This is a “real” castle located in Erie, Michigan. The team started blasting in summer 2002. It is built of poured concrete and is a private family home. Any public events held at Michigan Castle are outdoor events.

Who do you work with, within the community? We work with artisans, educators, and students of any age, who seek to educate and learn more about the arts, as we are able to. When a person needs help learning, a space to practice, or supplies for their art, we strive to help them meet their needs and ask that an inquiry be made through the “volunteer” link on our website. We work with local schools and organizations, as well as the Township, and local artisans, to help those interested..
Is this event family friendly?
Yes. Castle Events welcomes guests of all ages and strives to create a safe, inspiring, and engaging environment for families, travelers, and adventurers alike.
Are costumes encouraged?
Absolutely. Historical, fantasy, pirate, cottagecore, renaissance, and imaginative attire are all encouraged. Guests are welcome to express themselves creatively while remaining respectful and event appropriate.
What happens if weather conditions change?
Michigan weather can shift quickly. Castle Events reserves the right to adjust schedules or activities to prioritize guest safety during severe weather conditions.
Are pets allowed?
At this time, pets are allowed provided they are on a leash at all times. This policy may evolve as the event grows.
Can I volunteer if I’ve never worked an event before?
Yes. Passion, reliability, creativity, and willingness to help matter far more than prior experience.
